Cost Estimator
Hello!
We are hiring Cost Estimators (in the beautiful NW Metro Detroit area), quoting metal & steel based products including bearings, gears & misc. heavy automation.
Overall responsibilities include; quoting, process improvement, productivity and quality improvements for manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will be proficient at the following tasks:
- Consulting with clients, customers, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates.
- Confer with customer purchasing, engineering, and sub-contractors on details of quotes.
- Prepare all proper documentation.
- Prepare quote forms to submit customer pricing.
- Prepare estimates/cost analysis.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data.
We require at least 3 years experience in Manufacturing Cost Estimating, plus:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong computer skills.
- Analytical thought process and effective communication skills.
